A relaxing and invigorating tasting of the six types of loose-leaf tea, led by our certified tea master and Founder of The Tea Curator, Anna Kydd.

OCTOBER THROUGH NOVEMBER 2022

Newmarket, Auckland

Join our founder Anna Kydd in our new, pop-up tasting room in Newmarket for a beautifully relaxing and sensory tea experience. 

At our tasting event, you will:

~ enjoy a glass of cold-brewed, sparkling tea on arrival
~ be taken through a mindful tea meditation
~ learn what tea is (and what it isn’t) and get to know the six types of tea
~ find out about the difference between specialty tea and 'supermarket tea'
~ learn how to taste tea
~ learn how to prepare tea
~ taste 12 different teas, and
~ design your own daily tea ritual.

You will receive our small gift box with two 20g pouches of loose-leaf tea to take home with you (valued at $29).

This small, intimate experience will leave you feeling calm, relaxed, fascinated and invigorated. It's the perfect antidote to the heaviness of this year.

Come alone or bring a friend or two with you. Make a day of it and arrange shopping and lunch in Newmarket after or before the tasting.

Private group bookings: We are very happy to take private group bookings of four (minimum) to 9 people up until 14 December. This event makes a great team building or reward and recognition event; a unique client relationship-building activity, a relaxed Christmas/birthday party or baby-shower, or simply a lovely experience for friends and family. "The event was really well structured, with lots of tasty and interesting teas covering the full range of white, green, yellow, oolong, black, and dark tea. All of the teas were lovely, and Anna had chosen some really interesting teas to compare and contrast against each other. Anna is an excellent host, with an impressive knowledge and an infectious enthusiasm. We learned heaps about the best ways to prepare tea, the effect that different processing has on the flavour of teas, and even the differences between loose leaf teas and supermarket teabags. THE FINER DETAILS:

As the event involves a lot of tea tasting, masks are not expected. Our host is fully vaccinated. If you do have any cold or flu symptoms, please prioritise your wellbeing, as well as that of other attendees, by staying at home. If you are unwell, a full refund will be provided or your ticket can be transferred to another date if possible.

The dates and times of all tasting events by The Tea Curator are subject to availability.

Please carefully read all of the information provided about our tasting event details and requirements. Confirmation of your booking will constitute your agreement to the terms and conditions as outlined below.

Cancellation procedures

Because we are a small business and put a lot of care into planning into our events, we are unable to issue refunds for cancellation by the attendee, except due to cold and flu symptoms or in other extreme circumstances.

We do reserve the right to cancel or alter any event. Any event dates and times are subject to change, but we will always do our best to ensure our events are held on the committed dates/times, unless there are exceptional circumstances, such as the host/s being unable to attend due to illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will let all participants know with as much notice as possible on these occasions.

If the event does not go ahead as scheduled due to minimum numbers not being met, or for other reasons as listed above, you will be offered a refund in full, or an alternative date.

No cancellation penalties (including travel expenses to and from the event or accommodation costs) will be paid out in the event of  event cancellations by The Tea Curator.  Thank you for understanding.
