A rare, high-grade Malawi green from Satemwa. These carefully crafted leaves infuse into a light-bodied tea with a lovely lemon and biscuity fragrance, a soft and creamy mouthfeel with notes of citrus, fresh-cut grass, green vegetables and a light, lingering hint of smoke in the tail. This February 2023 tea is harvested by hand then steamed, rolled and dried.

The grade of tea is TSFOP (tippy special finest flowery orange pekoe).

Founded in 1923, Satemwa is a small, family-run tea estate in Malawi, Africa. Satemwa is certified by Fair Trade & Rainforest Alliance and has a strong focus on sustainability and ethical tea production.

Preparation: Steep for 3 minutes at 80°. Three infusions. 

Sizes: Zomba Green comes in four sizes: a 3 gram single serve, then 20g, 50g and 100g pouches. Our leaves can all be steeped at least twice (often more), so while the 3g pouch is a single serve (150 mls - a standard tea cup size), it will give you two cups if you steep the leaves twice.
