Tiny Temple Green
Organic green tea, Myanmar

Flavour: floral, vegetal, buttery ~ light-bodied
Tiny Temple Green comes from Five Trees Estate in Mogok, Myanmar. Its name pays tribute to the small temples that rest beneath the five 800-year-old Banyan trees that flank the tea garden’s entrance.

These leaves infuse into a vibrant, light-bodied tea with notes of flowers, herbs and chestnut. It has a soft mouthfeel and a subtle astringency.

Mogok Tea is run by London-based, Myanmar-born, Phyu Thwe. Phyu established the company to improve the quality of life of her fellow people in Mogok. Organic, ethical production and protecting the local environment are central to the company ethos. EU Organic Certification by Control Union.

Read the story of Mogok Tea in Anna's recent blog: 'Creating prosperity in Myanmar with tea'.

Infusions: specialty tea leaves can all be steeped at least twice, and often more, so each 3 gram serve (150 mls - a standard teacup size), will give you two cups ('infusions') if you steep the leaves twice. On the back of your pouch under 'Steep', you can find the number of infusions for your tea.

If you infuse your leaves at least twice, your pouch will give you the following cups of tea (or more if you infuse your leaves more times):

50 grams - 33 cups
100 grams - 66 cups
200 grams - 133 cups
