Cold-brewed sparkling tea is a fun way to steep tea in summer.

For our sparkling tea box, Anna has selected four of her favourite teas with floral or fruity base notes which are beautifully accentuated when steeped in cold, sparkling water.

Sparkling tea is the perfect alternative to champagne. Serve it at the beginning of an event to create a celebratory vibe or to ring in Christmas morning.

The teas in our Sparkling tea box are:

Bukit Sari Imperial, black tea, Indonesia
Flavour: fruit, malt, chocolate ~ silky-soft
Bukit Sari’s Imperial Black tea is carefully harvested by hand then slowly withered, gently rolled, fully oxidized and dried. The leaves infuse into an amber-coloured liquor that releases a gorgeous sweet, floral and fruity fragrance. March 2025 harvest. Surrounded by conservation forest, Bukit Sari tea garden sits at an altitude of 1150 – 1350m in the remote highlands of West Java, Indonesia. The garden has been certified organic since 2007 and is committed to bio-diversity and sustainable farming. Certified organic by USDA.

Early Spring Snow Buds, White tea, China

A special, early Spring white tea harvested from mid-February to mid-March 2025 in Simao, Yunnan province. This tea is made entirely of the freshest, plumpest, downy leaf buds. After harvest, they are lightly heated, rolled and air-dried.

Tipsy Eve, black tea, Sri Lanka

This tea is made with leaves and an abundance of golden leaf buds that were harvested by hand on 22 September 2025. Lumbini is a Sri Lankan family-run tea company. Their gardens lie in the Lumbini Tea Valley, located high in the hills in Southern Sri Lanka, surrounded by 25,000 hectares of virgin rainforest. Lumbini’s focus on sustainable tea practices and artisan craftmanship means it produces some of the countries most exceptional teas.

Glenburn Summer Darjeeling, black tea, India
Flavour: malt, rose, oak, walnut
This second flush, July 2024 harvest black tea comes from Glenburn Tea Estate, Darjeeling, India. High in the Himalayas, Glenburn Tea Estate is located above the Rungeet river, overlooked by the Kanchenjunga mountain range. It was started in 1859 by a Scottish tea company who then passed it on to one of India’s pioneering tea families, the Prakashes, whose hands it remains in today.

Each tea is 20-grams (1 gram of tea per 100 mls sparkling water - the same leaves can be cold brewed multiple times). The teas are packaged in our small gift box.  *please note you will need to purchase your sparkling water separately.*

The gift box includes a card to introduce the box to the gift recipient, instructions on how to cold-brew the teas in sparkling water (sparkling water is not included in the box), and our tea steeping and tasting guide. And of course, the teas can all be hot-steeped too!

Instructions:

1. Using a funnel, add 1 gram of tea per 100 mls* into a bottle of sparkling water. Screw the lid on tightly.

2. Place in the fridge and steep for 2 hours, then open the lid very slowly (it can bubble over) and gently pour through a strainer into a serving pitcher. When ready, pour into glasses (champagne glasses work well). Garnish with edible flowers or fruit if you wish, serve and enjoy!

If your bottle is 300mls, add 3 grams of tea; if it is 750 mls add 7.5 grams; if it is 1 litre add 10 grams and so on.

Tips: - you can quickly soak the leaves in hot water first as this can make them easier to get into the bottle.
- use the same leaves for a second infusion.
- fully sparking water, not lightly sparking, works best. If you have a Soda Stream, you can use this.
