OOLONG TEA: Mao Xie 'Hairy Crab', China
Mao Xie, 'Hairy Crab'
Oolong tea, China
Summer fruit, flowers, citrus
This light style oolong is grown and processed in the Anxi County, Fujian Province, China. Its Chinese name, Mao Xie, translates to ‘Hairy Crab’, reflecting the tiny hairs that come off the leaf during steeping. The tightly rolled beads infuse into a light, aromatic and refreshing tea with notes of nectarine and peach, flowers and a hint of citrus in the finish.
After you have finished hot steeping your leaves, pour cold water over them and pop in the fridge overnight for a cold tea the following day.
Preparation: Steep for 3 minutes at 85° - 90°. Two infusions.
