Grown on lush green slopes 1600m above sea level, this first flush Spring oolong tea is hand-crafted by small, independent tea grower Mr Moktan in the village of Mandal Gaon, Darjeeling, northern India.
This is rare, small batch oolong has a glowing copper liquor and a beautiful, complex flavour profile with notes of muscatel, malt, dried rose and a touch of smoke. Light bodied with a pleasant acidity, vibrant mouthfeel and a long floral aftertaste.
Spring 2020 harvest.
Preparation: Steep for 3-4 minutes at 90°. Two infusions.
Preparation: Perfect on its own or paired with a firm/semi-firm cheese.
